The effect of accupuncture treatment with gold needle on Myung-Mun(GV_(4)) upon Serum levels of female hormone in ovariectomized Rats

Abstract
|
|
|
n order to study the effect of accupuncture treatment with gold needle on Myung-Mun(GV₄) in Climacteric disturbance, Female rats were divided in 4 groups , after each group were measured on serum levels of female hormomes estrone(E₁), estradiol(E₂), estriol(E₃), leuteinizing hormone(LH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) at 0week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks.
The results obtained were summarized as follows.
1. The level of serum E₁ in OVX/GV₄ group revealed significant values some what increased compared with that of OVX group at 4 weeks.
2. The level of serum E₂ in OVX/GV₄ group revealed significant values some what decreased, but less decreased compared with that of OVX group at 4 weeks.
3. The level of serum E₃ in OVX/GV₄ group revealed significant values some what increased compared with that of OVX group at 2 weeks, 4 weeks.
4. The level of serum LH in OVX/GV₄ group revealed significant values some what decreased compared with that of OVX group at 4 weeks.
5. The level of serum FSH in OVX/GV₄ group revealed significant values some what decreased compared with that of OVX group at 2 weeks.
6. The change of weight an all groups were increased and OVX/Non Point group showed a value, but did not reveal any significant values.
7. The weight of uterus in all groups did not reveal any significant values.
According to the previous results, Accupuncture treatment with gold needle on Myung-Mun(GV₄) upon serum level of female hormone in ovariectomized rats has an dfficiency. So, it is considered that Myung-Mun(GV₄) can be applied effectively to the preventation an theraphy of climacteric disturbance.
